November 9, 2023. Simmering Potpourri

It's cloudy today...very dark out.  On the other hand, the temperature is forecast to be in the 60's!  Sure looks like rain but none is forecast.

I need to pick up a few items from the grocery store this morning.  And then I have an inspection for SnowWhite...a two hour event rather than the normal 20 minutes!

I finished cutting out all the microwave bowl cozies but that's all the got down with them.  I was ambitious and hoped to finish them but other things got in the way.

I did finish cutting and sewing small drawstring bags for the simmering potpourri.  I used fabric with a holiday theme rather than plastic to make sure that none of the dried fruit would get moldy...

I also finished assembling all the ingredients for the potpourri.  I dried (in the oven at the lowest temperature) orange and apple slices as well as cranberries.  Here's what I am including:  orange slices, apples slices, cranberries, whole all spice, whole cloves, whole cinnamon sticks and whole star anise...

So the potpourri is finished, the 3D cards are finished and the tree ornaments are finished.  I am crocheting the snowman in the trees so fast that I think I will give everyone one of those also.  Things are looking good for sending the boxes right after Thanksgiving!

By the way, did you realize that Thanksgiving is November 23...just two weeks from today!  Have you made plans yet?  It's going to be here before you know it!
