February 14, 2024

Happy Valentine's Day!  Do you remember bringing valentine's to school?  I remember making a 'mail box' out of a shoe box...covering it with construction paper and decorating with stickers and crayons.

Then, on Valentine's Day, students would bring in Valentines and put them in the box...and then we would have a party!

Wow, that was a long time ago...do they still do that in school?  Or is it another happy activity that has fallen by the wayside?

This is what we woke up to on Tuesday morning...about a foot of snow.  Most of the schools declared a home learning day...not a snow day.  So students could get on line and work with their teachers.

What's wrong with just declaring a snow day and let the kids enjoy the snow?

The snow wasn't as heavy as the last snowfall, but there was a lot of it.  And the temperatures are going to be in the 30's so it may stick around for a while.

Did you watch the Superbowl?  It was a pretty good game...no lopsided scores.  And only the second time that there has been overtime for a Superbowl game.

And it was great watching the Chief's march down the field in the last minute or so to win the game.  I think this is only the second team to win back to back Superbowls.

I did finish the quilt.  As I said, I chose to tie the quilt but I did sew around the edge three times.  Check it out...

I really like the way it turned out.

That's it for today.  There's a new question of the week, meditation of the day and an item to organize on the sidebar.  Be sure to use the web version on your smart phone or ipad to see the sidebar.

Have a great day...
