A little sunlight would be appreciated right about now but it looks like we may be in for several days of sunlight.
So, I haven't been too regular lately in posting on my blog. Sorry about that but I have had so many dental and medical appointments in the past few days that working around those was hard especially as every single one was late and took lots more time that originally scheduled.
For instance, yesterday a regular appointment that should have been at the most an hour, took almost three hours between delays and interruptions.
I have finished taking down, sorting and packing up all the Christmas decorations including the tree! And I have begun cleaning and decorating for spring. I finished two windows yesterday...
Windows, you ask? Well, remember we live in an extremely old house and the windows reflect this. External three way windows were installed in the 1950's so I tried to lower the storm windows. On one window, the actual inside window was in such poor shape that I could not raise it enough to even get to the outside storm window without it falling apart. So I used the plastic shrink wrap to seal that window.
On the other window, I could raise the inside window but could not lower the storm window because the way to lower it was broken. So again, I used a plastic shrink wrap to seal the window.
If you have ever used plastic with double-sided tape and a heat source to shrink the plastic you know that it takes time. I do not plan on removing the shrink wrap plastic covering as we do not open these windows anyway so that should save on time this fall.
Today, I hope to finish cleaning and decorating the living/dining room. That will leave time to work on the spring tree with tiny crocheted baskets and felted eggs this weekend.
Do you have any plans for this weekend? Be sure to include time for yourself to rest and relax.
And it looks like spring is early this year...here's hoping...
