I don't know about you but when I wake up early (between 2am and 3 am) I have a hard time getting back to sleep. Last night was one of those nights so I decided, after trying to listen to calming sounds, etc. to find a book to listen to.
What I found was Parker Palmer's 'On the Brink of Everything'. If you are not famiiiar with Parker Palmer he is an author, speaker, educator and leader in social and spiritual changes.
His book 'On the Brink of Everything' is about the view from his age of almost 80. Quite an enlightening and interesting book. He looks at the changes that come with age in a positive light. For instance, he can no longer multi-task...but...because of that he can focus completely on one thing and discover it's possibilities. The book is a series of essays and poem and irregardless of your age, it really is an excellent read.
So, I received the 'branches'...remember, it's so wet that I would have a hard time finding a branch that was dry enough to paint white. Here's what they look like...
Better than what I was expecting but not quite like a real branch. At least the wires are thick and strong so I will be able to hang the baskets, eggs and flowers.
Speaking of flowers, here's another one...
Yesterday, I did finish packing all the Christmas decorations with the exception of the tree. And they fit into the hall closet with room to spare. I also rearranged the living room a bit giving more room to some of the chairs.
Today, I hope to begin taking the ornaments off the tree and pack them away...after a dental appointment.
That's all for today...
