Oh, that's right...I forget to tell you that I decided to get back to playing. Unfortunately my keyboard is not in great shape. After about 20 minutes it stops...and sometimes I can change the tones and other times I can't. But I can still play a few minutes each day to get back in shape.
Yesterday was extremely windy here. I had to pick up the recycling bin and it's contents. At least it only went into the yard. I did run most of my errands but the most important one - my truck inspection - was not available so I will try again next week.
While out, though, I stumbled onto two sales. Fat quarters were half priced so I got an assortment...
There weren't many left so I picked up the ones I wanted. I also was lucky to find a yarn sale. Very few skeins were left but I managed to get a few...
I don't really have any plans for either the fat quarters or the yarn, but as I lost all of mine in the fire, I pick up sale items for future use.
I posted not only today's 'Month of Getting It Together' prompt but also the ones for the weekend. As I am also posting all the published prompts under pages GETTING IT TOGETHER you can go at your own speed. Maybe instead of one a day, one every other day or longer. Go at your own speed and be sure to change those that don't work for you.
I finished posting the resolutions or goals that I am going to keep, or at least try to! How about you, have you made any for yourself? I know I want to keep these in mind but haven't decided how yet. I was thinking of a vision board but quite frankly, I do not have the space for one. So I am thinking of something a little less involved.
Another thing that I normally do is choose a word for the year. I haven't done that yet, but I plan on spending some time this weekend thinking about a word that will express what I want. Do you choose a word for the year, or month, etc. to focus on? It's not something that I think about all the time. For me, when I see the word, I want it to evoke some type of positive feeling. Well, as I said I will be working on it this weekend.
My weekend plans are to enjoy the season's decorations and what's left of the special cookies and cupcakes. By the way, I have kept the cupcakes wonderfully moist by placing a piece of bread in the container. When the bread is dry, I put it out for the birds and add another fresh slice. It's worked extremely well for me.
Next week I plan on beginning to take down the Christmas decorations as well as going through several boxes from the storage trailer. We are getting down to a precious few which is nice. Still a lot of other stuff, though.
Have a great weekend. Don't forget the NFL football playoffs, that is if you like football.
Talk with you on Monday...
