The chimney sweep folks didn't show up again, this time part of the crew was absent. I keep wondering if we will ever get a chimney sweep person here in time to use the wood fire stove!
Two more days left in January...have your decided what type of goals or resolutions you want to work on this year? You can see mine on the sidebar which is how I remind myself of them every day. If you have, it would be a great idea to place them somewhere where you can see them daily...just as a gentle reminder.
Speaking of which, when was the last time you practiced a random act of kindness? Nothing big just a simple act like phoning a friend, writing a note, saying hi to a neighbor or even smiling at folks. You know what those acts do...they release hormones in your brain that make you feel better, happier, boost your self esteem and lower your blood pressure. What's not to like about doing random acts of kindness? Try it sometime, actually try doing one act today and see how you feel.
A few more prompts left in Getting It Together...check out today's on the side bar.
If you're making the tiny junk journal, then it's time to make the pages to include. I used two pieces of regular copy paper glued together rather than card stock for the pages.
Altogether there are twelve pages not counting the cover. Three pieces of paper two and a quarter inches by three and a quarter inches will make twelve pages as each piece is folded in half lengthwise.
I added pockets or tucks to all the pages but the center two. In this picture I have a pocket with a fold out card and a notebook under a hidden paperclip...
In this picture I have a bellyband with a covered notebook and a folded tag under the hidden paperclip...
Remember how small some of these notebooks, cards and tags are. You need small ephemera to add to them. I used mostly tiny flowers, butterflies and words. It's fun but does take a bit of time. I'll share three more pictures of the pages tomorrow.
Today, I will be taking done the last of the decorations - the Christmas Tree. After that we will rearrange the living room so the baseboard heating is not blocked. When we can use the stove, there's no problem but as it seems to be difficult to get someone to 'sweep' the chimney, we will have to rely on the furnace to heat the room.
That's it for now...take care and be safe
Talk with you tomorrow...
