The picture to the left is from my yard...today.  It is quite warm, in the 70's and it looks like the entire week will be in the low 70's.  A good time to work outside.

Yesterday I worked in the house, doing a fairly deep cleaning but today I haven't gotten too much done.

I dropped off several items at Goodwill...filled two giant carts.  I then stopped off and picked up my meds and a few other items.

Finally, I checked out the nursery areas to see what's available...not much yet.  I did pick up a couple flowers and some seed packets.  I transplanted the flowers into nice containers (There are a ton all over the yard!) and surrounded the Peacock with them.  I still need to get more but here's what it looks like so far...

I plan on picking up at least five or six more flowers to surround the area.  It will make a nice colorful entrance to the home.

Walking around the house and it looks like my favorite spring flowers popped up all over...overnight...

I know many folks really dislike dandelions but I love them and remember playing with them as a child...every put one under your chin to see if you like butter?  Your chin turns yellow if you do!

I remember picking them and bringing them to grandma...and she would always put them in a drinking glass.  I'm not sure if she ever had a flower vase, but the glasses were also available.

The beautiful thing about today is that it brought back all that wonder that I felt in the spring.  Wondering why the leaves look so fresh and bright green when they emerge in the spring?  Wondering what the trees with the colorful pink blossoms were?  Wondering when I would see a robin?  (I still haven't but I'm sure they are around!). Wondering how soon school would end so I could enjoy summer vacation?

You know, wondering is a wonderful pastime.  Wondering about the beauty of the world.  Wondering about the gift of love so freely given between family and friends.  Wondering about music that can lift one's spirits...or books that make you smile...or about the clouds that slowly meander through the skies...or even the gift of life each of us was given.

If you haven't done any wondering lately, maybe it's time for you to stop what you're doing and wonder.  Wonder like a child and marvel at what you see enjoying simple things like a bird singing, or the breeze blowing, or what you've seen and done throughout your life.  Wondering is a really good thing...

Talk to you tomorrow...
