It's warmer this morning than yesterday...in the mid 60's.  However, the high is about the same...mid to high 70's.  And, of course, more rain!

I did get all ten of the heavy dirt bags hauled from SnowWhite to the vegetable containers and emptied.  The ground really was too wet to back SnowWhite into the yard.

Unfortunately, no one had vermiculite in stock.  I tried four different stores and all of them had it online but not in stock.  So, I ordered some online and it's supposed to be here tomorrow.  It should add enough bulk to bring the level in the containers where I want it...not to the top but a little over three quarters full.

Today, I am going to pick up some squash and cucumber plants along with a lot of marigolds to plant in the back garden.  The marigolds are to keep little critters away as well as the squash bugs.

I worked on storage for flower stickers that can easily travel.  I started with a heavy cardboard cover and decorated it with scrapbook paper.  I added a closure out of the same scrapbook paper using craft size velcro closures to keep it shut...

Next I sewed in four picture pockets on each side of the inside.  You can see the sewing lines in the above picture.  Zigzag stitches for the pockets and a straight stitch around the edges.  I got the picture pockets out of an old picture book.  To hold the stickers in, I placed a wide piece of scrapbook paper, gluing it at the bottom under the picture pockets and attaching at the top with craft velcro closures.  (Note:  Craft velcro stickers are much smaller than regular round velcro closures.)...

You can see in the next two pictures how the pockets work to hold stickers...

This 'booklet' will make it easy to take stickers with me when traveling either on a day trip or on a longer vacation.

And speaking of traveling on trips, do you take along things to do?  Things like crafting items, books to read, journals to write in, etc.?  I like to take a variety of items because I am not always sure what I will want to do.

I have books to read and videos to watch on my iPhone so that's always covered.  I don't really play computer games very much but I do have scrabble and sudoku on my phone just in case.

But I really do take several craft items with me.  I don't usually take my sewing machine so quilt projects are limited to smaller project with hand work, design and hand sewing.  I usually take an embroidery piece that I am working on as well as some crocheting.  And, as I love to work with paper, I will include a junk journal project.

It sounds like a lot, but I pack according to how long I will be.  For instance, if I am going to a park for a day, I can easily fit everything I need into a small open carrier case about 10" by 12" by 4".  If I am going to be gone for several days or weeks, I have a larger closed case that I can fit all the craft items into as well as my computer and iPad.

I do leave time to enjoy the place I am at and, most probably, some daydreaming.  But, I really need to keep myself busy.  One other thing I do a lot of is take pictures.  I used to bring a camera with me to take the pictures, but the camera on my phone is actually better so I wind up using that instead.  It's a lot smaller and lighter to carry as well as being able to take a quick picture if, say, an animal or bird appears that I want to photograph.

Next time you're going someplace, think about what you may want to do and bring with you...better before you leave than after when you won't be able to assemble what you want.

That's all for now...

Be safe and enjoy your day...

Talk with you tomorrow...
