They were talking about three to four more inches of rain. At that point I think almost all of the streams and small rivers will be completely out of their banks.
A good thing that I finished the containers yesterday. And with so much rain that switches between downpours and regular rain, I am not going to go and pick up dirt. I don't want to tempt fate and catch a cold...
So today after straightening up the house, I will spend time on my fabric collaged projects.
Sunday, May 11th, is Mother's Day, an opportunity to honor mothers. I remember when the children were younger they would make things or draw pictures to give to me. I loved those items more than flowers or chocolates. (Course, I don't really like chocolate so that's not hard to say.). I hope each of you will take the time to remember the good memories of your mother as well as the memories of yourself as a mother (if you were). And send well wishes to those who are still with you and tender thoughts to those who are not.
There's a Tulip Festival on Sunday in Albany, New York which I hope to attend, but with so much rain and not a lot of warmth or sunshine, I wonder if the festival will include many tulips. I have only seen tulips in one yard in the neighborhood. I know that there are tulips in our yard but so far none have opened up.
I hope all of you will have an enjoyable weekend, tending to things that need to be done, but leaving time for yourself to engage is something you want to do.
I'll talk with you on Monday but please be safe and well in the meantime...
