Well, the snowstorm materialized and left over two feet plus of snow around here and it's still snowing this morning. The good thing is that there was no ice. The snow is heavy, though, what they call 'heart-attack' snow. And another good thing is there is no wind right now.
Today is the last Monday in January...time to finalize your intentions for 2026. I found that two year long intentions worked for me along with 24 short term intentions. Your probably thinking 'yikes - 24'!
Well, as I was looking at my list of intentions along with their categories, I found that splitting them up into monthly intentions worked out well...two per month. One set of intentions is in the crafting category...that is quilting, journal making, etc. The other set of intentions are in the everything else category like organizing and simplifying kitchen things, or my clothing or decorations, or gardening, etc.
I have written my intentions out in a calendar - two long term and two each month. I have also designed and made a decorative poster with all of them which I have posted right above my work area. And I have put current ones on a post-it and attached to my computer so I definitely cannot miss seeing them.
This week I hope that you will set you intentions for 2026 in a manner that works for you...either all year long or all short term or a combination of both. When you have finalized them, write them down, type them up, create a poster, add them to your calendar...writing them down will help you commit to them. And by taking your time to really think about, discover and decide on your intentions will also encourage you to work towards those intentions. And remember, these are not goals to achieve necessarily but rather intentions to work toward...no failure!
During the weekend, while watching the snow come down, I made a couple more collages...
I plan on laminating them and using them as covers for journals. If you've never created a collage out of pieces of paper, try it...it's lot of fun. You only need a base piece of paper, some stick glue and paper scraps from magazines, mailings, decorative paper, etc.
That's all for now...be safe and take care...
Talk with you tomorrow...
