You can see how deep the snow is as well as the tall the snow mounds from the snow plows are...they are over four feet high!

And no melting...the temperatures are way too low for that...it was 5 this morning and only 12 right now.

I just heard the long term forecast which is calling for another snow storm next weekend with a possibility that it could be another big one!  Either feast or famine as they say.  Maybe this is the year that we make up for so many snowless years!

So, I had to make a change in my long term intentions.  I now have three and they are the usual ones concerning finance, exercise and health.  I decided to put them in the long term group because they would be the same each month and I do them regularly now, either daily or monthly, so it seemed more appropriate keep them in long term.

Whereas, the monthly short termed also seem right.  For instance, the month of February has two short term intentions.  First, to finish the slow making journal completely.  And second, to sort, organize and pack the decorations.  I was going to start that this week, but some of the boxes are still in Duchess and I thought that it would be best to wait a few days before getting those boxes in.

I am having to rearrange the large upstairs room as we are keeping one of the exercise equipment pieces set up all the time rather than putting it away after each use.  We don't really use the room for anything else at the moment so I haven't decided on what changes to make yet.

Does that happen to you?  How making one seemingly small change impacts much larger than anticipated?  My first impulse was to make changes right away but on second thought I realized that I wasn't quite sure what to do yet.  So, restraining that immediate impulse, I decided to take stock of what needed to be in the room and how best to arrange things.

And that's what I hope you will do if you find that you need to rearrange things but not sure how.  First decide what the room is used for...in my case, mostly exercising but there are other occasional uses.   Then think about how different arrangements would look and help/impede the use of the room.  When you have made some decisions, try them out.  If they work great, if not, take more time.  What may seem like the first and best solution often isn't.  But don't get discouraged, a solution to the problem will surface.  (And you will probably say to yourself 'Why didn't I think of that before?')

Today I am making potato soup and focaccia for supper.  Soup always seems to be good in cold weather...

Be safe and take care especially if you were impacted by the storm...

Talk with you tomorrow...
