Not as cold this morning at 8 degrees but not exactly warm.  There's no snow nor rain in the forecast and the highs are in the high 20's to low 30's.  Maybe some of the snow will melt...

I know that for those of us experiencing winter, there are no spring flowers yet, but I thought that a picture of one might just perk up your mood.  Winter can become a series of long gray days.

It's February...already!  And that means a new word for the month as well as a new challenge.

Solitude...the state of being alone.  I want you to consider this in a positive light as a time for reflection, a time for taking time for yourself, a time for inner focus.  And the challenge for this month goes along with solitude...reading!

How many of you take time to read and I don't mean scrolling or reading social media, I am talking about books or magazine articles or poetry.  I want you to decide on how much time you want to devote to reading but I hope it will be a minimum of 15 minutes a day.  And I want you to read both things you like and normally read as well as read something not in your normal range.

If you read only fiction, read at least one book of non-fiction.  And if poems are not part of your reading ventures, try reading one or more a week.  For instance, Langston Hugh's 'Let America be America Again'.

How you read is up to you.  I read electronically, generally from my local library which is online.  You may want to have actual books to hold and read...a visit to your local library will provide you with tons of options.  However you read, please take part in this month's challenge and enjoy reading.

As this is the beginning of the month, I have two intentions to work on...how about you?  My intentions are:  First, to sort, simplify, organize and pack away the Christmas decorations; and, Second to finish making my 'slow making' journal.  I'll let you know how I do with both.

That's it for today...

Stay warm, stay safe and enjoy your day...

Talk with you tomorrow...
