Yesterday, I saw the first daffodil to pop up in the yard...there are ton's more ready to open up.  With the warmer weather (it's already in the 60's) and rain, I hope to see lots and lots of them.

Speaking of rain, you remember the old adage 'When March comes in like a lion it goes out like a lamb.'  Quite frankly, I don't remember how March came in but with flooding in the forecast for here with rain beginning last night, I would say it's going out like a lion...at least around here!

This is as far as I got yesterday before getting violently sick...

It was quite a bummer of a day with headache and digestive problems.  I rested the rest of the morning and all afternoon.  By evening I was in pretty good shape except for a headache which was probably brought on by the change in weather.

Last night we had thunder and lightening in the evening and rain, of course.  At least it wasn't thunder-snow!!!

This morning it is bright and sunny out, temperature is already in the mid 60's.  Rain is forecast for tonight.  Maybe I will be able to get out and do some trimming although it is quite wet from all the rain last night.

I was able to work on the latest junk journal project in the evening.  Here are the rest of the card fronts...

I mentioned before that I was not sure what I was going to do with this but had an idea about travel use.  So what I decided to do was to make two envelopes for each 'card'...

I have eight card sections so that makes 16 envelopes.  I am leaning towards putting a quilt block, cut out and ready to hand sew, in each envelope.  I will add a needle, thread and tiny scissors to the collection probably in the front cover.

I can then take this along on trips and work on quilt blocks.  I am thinking that once I am done with the first 16 blocks, I will add more blocks to the journal and make another sixteen!

I have decided to make the blocks on the larger side...probably 12 inches square finished.  And as it's spring and summer I am going to include light fabrics and flower type blocks.  Sounds good to me...

It's April 1st, did you finish your March intentions?  If not, you can still do what I did with the February ones...continue working on them until your are done!

Do you realize that with the beginning of April, we are one quarter of the way through the year already?  Is it me, or does your time seem to fly by faster than light?  I am beginning to wonder if feeling like time is flying by fast is a good thing!  It's probably better than having it feel like it's dragging but I think I would like to slow down the feeling...but how?

Well, one way is to appreciate each moment (another way of putting that is to be mindful).  When you're doing your chores, think about what you are doing rather than thinking about something else.  Or if you're outside working, listen to the birds, the wind, feel the sun.  In other words, be aware of what you are doing and how your are feeling.

Another way to slow down the feeling of time is to change your routine.  Maybe take a different route to work or when doing your errands.  Or enjoying something you like to do like reading before doing the chores.

Finally, if you're in the habit of scrolling on YouTube or Facebook, take a break from that for a day or two.  You'd be surprised at how much time you can wind up spending on scrolling.  And remember, internet companies have set the algorithm to encourage your scrolling by constantly feeding you things you like.  No, it's not a fair fight so sometimes pulling the plug every once in a while is a good way to redeem your time.

Well, that's it for today...

Sorry I wasn't able to post yesterday...

Talk with you tomorrow...
