This morning it's light but the sky is more white than blue.  The trees are not moving which is different from yesterday when they were waving wildly.  It's going to be cooler today but it looks like the weekend will be warmer.  And there's actually no rain in the ten day forecast!

I checked the latest forecast for winter in our area and found out that the El Nino which is going to be among one of the biggest will be impacting weather nationwide.  Our area is looking at warmer temperatures and much less snow.  Wonder if that means more ice!

So do you ever have days when you just do not feel inspired to do much of anything?  One of those 'blah' days that you feel like doing nothing more than scrolling on your phone if that's your thing; or, just sitting and letting the hours drift by?  You're not sick...you're not tired...you're just, basically, there!

Well, I kind of felt that way yesterday.  I just could not get excited about doing anything.  Yes, I got my regular things done like exercising, sprucing up the house, putting the dishes away, but that's it.   One of the things on my plan was to really clean my studio which is really a giant mess.  I just looked at the mess...and then made it messier by covering a couple boxes with fabric.

I figured that if I couldn't get excited about doing anything special, I could at least use some scrap fabric and trim and cover a couple cardboard boxes to use when I do get inspired to clean my studio...

Why cover boxes?  I like to have a box for each project I am working on or special collections.  So I save boxes and cover them.  I already had sixteen...now I have eighteen!  Sounds like a lot, doesn't it?  Well, some  are current projects, some are collections like thread and sketchbooks.  It's actually an attractive way to organize my studio at very little cost.  I'd rather have those boxes than purchase containers.

Today, I feel a bit more energized but to be honest, not a lot.  I need to get out and run some errands - grocery shopping to be honest.  Not much of an inspirational activity...actually a somewhat depressing one when I look at the rising cost of things.  Maybe once that's done I will feel more like cleaning up my studio.

So how do you get yourself out of non-inspirational times?  I haven't found that magic trick that works for me...sometimes I just go with the flow until it's over and I feel energized and inspired.  Some times I try and force my way out of those days but that has mixed results.

Maybe my mind/body is telling me it's time to just be.  Maybe it's a way to replenish myself for those days of inspiration.  You know, I don't have any answers so I'll just be for a while and let it go at that.

Have an awesome weekend...enjoy some fall activities like raking leaves or going apple picking...watch some football...or take time to relax...

Talk with you on Monday...
