Well, the novel, actually the entire series, is great. The series is called Charlotte and Thomas Pitt Mysteries by Anne Perry. It's set in England when society was king and folks knew their place. The author gives great insights into how things operated in this period along with great mysteries to solve. I just finished Midnight at Marble Arch one of the latest, but I recommend that you begin with the first novel of the series so you have an understanding of all the different characters.

I also managed to do a bit more crocheting...
It's a cute little lavender basket about four inches high including the handle.
