WELCOME 2021

Happy New Year!!!

I woke up to a blanket of snow.  Everything was covered...a winter wonderland.

I changed the blog look for the winter by adding a background of snow and using  blue tone colors.  The background picture of snow was taken when I lived in Portland and we had a giant dump of snow...my car (Lady J, the Explorer) was totally covered.

You will also see my new word for the year.  CHALLENGE!  Maybe I should have used that last year because if any year was full of challenges, last year took the prize.

We all had some steep learning curves first learning to deal with the pandemic including isolation, washing hands, social distancing and wearing masks.   But most of all the number of our fellow citizens who lost their battle with Covid19.

Then we learned a different way of 'being' with others through Zoom, Skype, Facetime, etc.  But even that is working out.  We virtually go to school, to work, to meetings, socializing with family and friends.  We are, if nothing else, learning to adapt.

But many of our citizens are in dire straits - losing jobs, no money to pay for food and shelter - through no fault of their own.  Covid 19 effects are wider than even catching the virus.  For those of you who are in a position to help, please look for someway to help ease their situation.

And politically, it seems to only get worse each day!  The telephone call about 'recalculating' the vote tally!  The twelve senators and over one hundred representatives!  The challenge!  And add to that the runoff in Georgia for two senate seats!

I guess the best thing to say is that 2021 is off to an explosive beginning!  Let's hope things calm down as the year progresses.

With holiday guild activities winding down, I will have more time to pursue more craft/art work, blogging with fewer breaks and joining some challenges.  Over this week, I will share some of the things that I have been planning for the year.

Stay safe...

Talk with you tomorrow...
