I took a walk around the house yesterday to see if spring has 'sprung' anywhere and I found four promises of things to come and one here already...
First, the forsythia bushes have tiny yellow leaves and buds...
Second, the bushes outside my window are full of tight buds which means beautiful pink flowers will be decorating my window soon...
Next, I found these little purple flowers that sparkled in the sunlight. Not sure what they are called...
And right next to the purple flowers was this bush full of buds...
Finally, in the front of the house I saw peaking up next to the wall, these leaves which indicate flowers to come very soon...
Have you been reading or listening to any good books lately? I am listening to Anne Perry novels right now but I have switched from the Pitt and Charlotte series to the Monk and Hester series. I find the Monk series books just as intriguing as the Pitt series.
But in Monk, neither of the main characters are in the upper society so the books have a different view. In the Pitt and Charlotte series, Charlotte was from the upper society and married, as the social culture maintained, beneath her when she married a policeman.
I find that in both series, the rules of upper society with the feelings of entitlement and privilege are appalling but the books do make for great reading. If you're looking for a great mystery, check out one of either series.
Oh, and the latest Laura Child's Tea Shop mysteries is now available. This is my all favorite mystery series.
Enjoy your day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
