May 9, 2023.

Well, today I am not going to get much done.  I got two shots yesterday - tetanus and the first shot of two Shingrix.

My arm was a bit sore yesterday but I was really sick when I woke up this morning.  I should have realized that there would be more discomfort because the lady that gave me the shots said I should take it easy today.

Given how I felt I went back to bed after feeding the kitties so I am definitely taking it easy.

So do you know what national celebrations are set for today?

1.  Hooray for Buttons Day.  Did you know that the oldest button dates back to 5000B.C.

2.  Tear the Tags Off the Mattress Day.   Really?

3.  National Butterscotch Brownie Day.  I am all for that...love butterscotch!

4.  National Sleepover Day.  Remember those sleepovers when your house was full of kids and the other parents had a relaxing evening?

5.  Alphabet Magnet Day.  I have lots of magnets on my frig, but not the alphabet.

6.  National Lost Sock Memorial Day.  I swear that the washing machine eats my socks!

Yesterday I did get a lot done.  The patio is almost finished.  I have a few more plants to plant in pots, some trimming with the weed trimmer and I have to move the large umbrella...still having a hard time getting the in ground holder to go as low as needed because of tree roots.

I realized that a couple of the outside chairs are in really bad shape so I may have to discard them.  I tried to figure out how to fix them but there really isn't a way as too much has disintegrated.  But I have had them for over twelve years and they have been outside all the time in the summer so I really can't complain.

That's all for now...

Talk with you tomorrow...
