We drove through some very majestic scenery on the way to Ikea including Provo Valley.
On Monday, I drove to Vernal to checkout Jo-Ann's Fabrics. The quilt stores that I used to visit were closed which was sad. Back home the Jo-Ann's Fabric stores were not big and had very little fabric. Let me tell you, this one was great...
The price points varied so you could easily find what you wanted in the quality you wanted at a really nice prices. I hadn't been in a Jo-Ann's Fabric store with this much fabric in decades. It was a treat just to walk around and take it in. The store also had an enormous craft section and a large pattern selection for making clothes. Interestingly, there was only a small section for framing, much different from the craft stores back east in my area.
I also checked out a thrift store and purchased several books. They were labeled $4 a piece for hardback, but they only charged me $2 a piece. Check out these Christmas books, all in excellent condition...
There were so many ideas in the books that I couldn't resist purchasing them. I can't wait to enjoy looking through them for ideas. Christmas in July, isn't that a thing now a days!!!
I hosted the chat for the quilt guild today. Lots of folks joined and we had a great time sharing ideas and adventures. It's fun to spend time with folks and if you can't do it in person, online is the next best thing.
That's it for today...
Talk with you tomorrow...
