August 15, 2023 New Journal Pages

Rain this morning but it should clear up by noon...we'll see.

Boy, did Georgia come down on a whole lot of people with a single indictment that encompassed the entire action to overturn the presidential election.  Very big and very sweeping.

2024 is going to be a very, very, very interesting year with all the trials going on at the same time as campaigns for the next presidential elections.  Wow!  What a new experience!

I prepared more pages to use in my journals.  Some of the base sheets were not quite long enough so I added strips of paper and/or lace to make up the difference.  Here are some of the pages...

Next, I am going to sew around the edges of all the pages.  I'm looking forward to making this journal.  These pages seem to convey a softer feeling so I am going to keep the pockets, journal cards, and other ephemera with the same gentle feeling.

We had plans to go someplace today.  First was Mount Washington but it looked like rain was going to be there most of the day.  Then we decided to go to Mystic, Connecticut but again it looked like rain a good deal of the day.  So we are staying home today - it's still raining - and try Mystic tomorrow.

Why Mystic...well, I found a restaurant that actually serves fried oysters!  We have lots of oysters on the half shell and Oysters Rockefeller around here but no fried oysters!  And we want to see the Mystic Museum.

That's it for today...

Talk with you later...
