We've had several days of 70 to 80 degrees temperatures...today's high is 77!  Not really fall weather.  Reminds me of what we used to call Indian Summer...a time after some really cold weather when it warmed up to summer-like weather.  The only problem is that it really hasn't gotten cold here yet!

The leaves have turned though and they are beautiful.  Each day when I go out, more and more have turned and it's becoming a riot of color.

I finished my errands yesterday and made a really great supper with a roasted chicken, whole, baked potatoes, fresh sweet corn and stuffing.  Almost a Thanksgiving meal!

While out picking up things at the grocery store I realized that the displays for Thanksgiving supplies were almost depleted.  So I quickly decided that if I wanted to make any pies (like pecan and pumpkin) I had better get the ingredients.  I did!  I really don't understand, though, because Thanksgiving is a month away!

So today I will be bring in boxes from Duchess.  I was going to do that yesterday but I decided that it would be better to work hard every other day and take it easier inbetween.

I'm looking forward to seeing what's in the boxes because no one who packed them remembers (nor did they write on the boxes what was inside!).  I understand because their main focus was to get out of the house as soon as possible.  It will be interesting to say the least!

I'm expecting my new mattress today.  It's in a box so it will take a few days before I can use it but I am looking forward to that time.  Sleeping on the blowup bed wasn't bad at all, but the last several days, my back is warning me that I need to sleep on a real mattress soon...very soon.
