Don't get me wrong, I made supper, did several loads of laundry, hung pictures in the dining room, made several trips bringing more things upstairs and cleaned the upstairs large room.
Still now sure what to call the large room upstairs...the everything room? About one third is taken up by exercise equipment, the rest is older pieces of furniture, including our dining room table and chairs, plants and the fireplace. One thing I plan on doing is having a picture puzzle available to work on.
The craft thing I worked on yesterday was not typical. We have a large cupboard for dvds but no shelving to go inside. Until we have the time to build one out of wood, I decided to make one out of cardboard!
One of the boxes the mattresses came in was really strong, so I am using it to make a three shelf unit that will fit inside the cupboard. The shelf size is 39 x25 inches. The box has enough cardboard to make the size shelf I want. I am using both tacky glue and hot glue to hold it together. The hot glue for immediate hold and the tacky for long-term hold.
So far I have two shelves together and the third one ready to attach. I'll take a picture when I finish it today.
I have worked with cardboard a lot but mostly to make, cover and decorate containers. This is my first attempt at making usable furniture of sorts. But after checking on YouTube, there is a whole segment about making furniture out of cardboard that is really interesting.
Today I hope to be a bit more productive...
Have a relaxing day...talk with you tomorrow...
