On the 29th, we took off at half time of the Viking's game to drive through a Wonderland of Lights Display. It was the last night and I really wanted to see it. Thanks to great reception, I was still able to listen to the game while driving through the display that included among many others the Twelve Days of Christmas, Santa's workshop, a beautiful nativity scene, a Chanukah scene, and lots, lots more. There are only three displays put up in the nation. Two in Florida and this one in New York, just a few short miles of where we live!
We celebrated Christmas with family yesterday complete with a ham dinner and all the fixings to opening gifts. It was a totally enjoyable time.
I was given a very unique gift called 'The Ultimate Reading Challenge'. It has several different challenges like 'Read a book that's been sitting on your shelf, unread, for more than a year'. When you have completed the challenge, there is an envelope to open with a reading prize in it. There are 24 different challenges and I am looking forward to tackling all of them this year!
I watched football (well, duh!) and a new Christmas animated movie that I wasn't sure would be any good but in the end absolutely loved. That's two new Christmas movies I've watched this year: Red One which was a fun Santa thriller and That Christmas which was the animated one. They will be added to my long list of Christmas shows to watch each year.
Today is full of college football bowl games so you know what I will be watching. The games aren't always great, but, hey, it's football!
I have been working on plans for this blog for next year. I've made my decisions on which of the ideas that I have considered and am now in the process of getting down to the nuts and bolts. Having a grand scheme is great but not very practicable if one can't get the everyday focus set.
I will start to introduce my ideas on Thursday, January 2nd. As they say, stay tuned. I'm looking forward to starting off the new year with new ideas and hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.
