Another picture from our yard.  The Iris have been beautiful this year.  It's partly cloudy out and right now it's 60 going to a high in the mid 70's.  Rain, lots of rain, is scheduled to begin around midnight.

It will be interesting to see how the rivers react to more rain.  Most are barely in their banks right now and with heavy rain over the next three days, they will no doubt flood the surrounding areas again.

I leave on vacation next Monday which means there won't be any posts for the week unless I find that I do have a few minutes each night to post something along the way.  If I can, I will post.  If not, I will be back the following week.

So, yesterday I shared with you one of two craft projects I am taking.  The second project is my collaged fish.  I have lots of fabric on Steam-A-Seam 2 sheets.  Most sheets have six different fabrics - some more, a few less...

And here's the outline of a very large fish on canvas...

I need fewer tools for this project, basically a mini-iron and a scissors.  Note both items are on the folder I made for this project...

I have already packed both projects in a carryall bag so that's one less thing I have to do.  All I need to finish is decide what to take clothes-wise and pack them up.  One bag with things needed while driving and one with everything else.  And I like to keep the bag I take into the hotels light weight but I always take my computer and other electronic things in with me...just in case!

Do you over pack, under pack or pack just right.  I have a tendency to over pack both crafts and clothes.  But, honestly, I never know what craft I may be in the mood to do.  And with today's weather, packing clothes can be tricky...is it hot or is it cold or both.  It seems to be both right now, especially where I am traveling to...even here at home.  I'm wearing sweats one day and shorts the next!

Today I need to do a bit of grocery shopping, finish planting a few items and set up the screen for the green beans, do a little light cleaning, finish cleaning the inside of SnowWhite and make dinner.

Do you realize that the next time I blog it will be a new month...June...the sixth month of the year.  We are approaching halfway through the year!  Yikes, where did those six months go?  And next week is the last week for both of my 100 Day Projects.

I have to say that both of those projects have pushed me to explore each area further than I would have without them.  I have learned a lot about fabric collage and I am really looking forward to working on my next collage, the fish.  And the junk journaling videos (one a day) have opened up tons of new ideas to try, many of which I have already done.

If you ever have an opportunity to try a long term project challenge, why not try it out.  It just may open up new ideas and new horizons for you to try out and aim for.  Although at times I thought I was a bit crazy for doing both, I am not at all disappointed for doing them.  As I said, they both enabled me to explore each area far more than I would normally have done.

That's all for now.

Take care, be safe and enjoy some you-time this weekend...

Talk with you soon...
