Another hot...and I do mean hot...day. Probably hotter than yesterday. Yesterday was almost 100 and I think it did a number on me.  I was sick and spent most of the day resting.

This morning I got up early and took my outdoor walk while it was cool.  A much better idea.  So far I have taken care of the kitten (that's become a daily chore that takes about an hour!), sent out zoom invitations to the guild members as this afternoon is chat time, cleaned the kitchen, straightened my bedroom and answered emails.

I really didn't want to get up but it's nice to get everything done before 9am!

I did begin working on another collaged project.  It's interesting, I wasn't really sure what I was going to do but ended up with a winter landscape. I have the sky and the land done so far...

I'm going to add lots of trees in browns, blacks and white plus one red house with yellow windows trimmed in black out of sparkly fabric.  I am also considering adding a deer or two.  I have done that in previous projects and liked the result.

I like the sky...it's representative of northern lights.  And on the dark fabric representing the ground I added white mounds of 'snow' and on the light fabric which represents snow I add dark mounds of 'bare ground'.

All the pieces are free-hand cut and placed on a canvas backing.  The pieces are attached using stick glue.  I plan on finishing this project the same way I finished the fish project...with a thin layer of tulle and free motioned quilting using the sewing machine.

So how are you handling the hot weather, if it's hot where you live?  I hope you are being sensible and taking it easy, drinking lots of water and getting plenty of rest between chores.  Don't be like me, walking outside and forgetting to drink plenty of water.  I am sure that's why I felt so miserable.

Have you thought about what you want to do in August?  There's only one more day of July after today...the last month of summer is almost here.  Time to think about what you want to do...vacation?, stacation?, projects? all with lots of down time I hope.

Take care, be safe and take it easy...

Talk with you tomorrow...
