So my son is still home but the pain meds have helped with the back discomfort.
I made dinner last night - mashed potatoes, sweet corn and meatballs and gravy. Tasted very good if I say so myself.
I haven't been able to work in the studio much this week so far but I do have three more miniature blocks cut out and ready to hand sew...
Today I hope to have the time to sew these together as well as work on other things in the studio including finishing binding three more creations.
Here's another photo from Mount Equinox Summit. This is looking eastward...
It's been a while since I talked about the book 'Living Out Loud: Activities to Fuel A Creative Life' by Keri Smith. I'm still working on 100 things to do with a pencil and believe me I am thinking now way outside the box. This was one of the exercises to stretch your imagination.
Another exercise is to create your ideal life (in your mind that is). It's not to demean your current life situation which may be perfectly fine for you. It's to encourage you to think seriously about what you want your life to be about. Maybe right now you are raising children but remember there will be a lot of time once they have left the nest.
Even if you may have more years behind you than ahead of you, it's still a great exercise to consider because you will still have an opportunity to do create some of those 'ideal' possibilities.
So, what would you include in your ideal life? Can you create some of those choices right now, even partially? Say you want to be a writer but don't have a lot of time to devote to writing right now. How about spending a few minutes writing in a journal each day as a way to begin that writing journey?
Think about your ideal life and then find some small ways that you can start to incorporate that life into your everyday life right now.
There's a new challenge posted in the side bar. Be sure to check it out.
Have a great day and be sure to spend some time doing what you want...
Talk with you tomorrow...
