It is now December! If you think that November went by fast, wait until you experience December. Especially if you have another large celebration to prepare for.
There's a new word for the month...reflection! Given what all is happening this month, that may seem to be something that you do not have time for. But, the challenge this month is to make time each day...not a long time, but long enough to feel rested and relaxed. For some of us, that may be only a few minutes - maybe fifteen - but for more of us we may need more time. I suggest that you find the amount of time that works for you. Twenty minutes seem to work for me.
How do you approach December? It really depends on what you do this month. Do you have big celebrations around the holidays? Do you need to purchase or make presents? Are there big meals to prepare? Parties to go to or throw? Decorations to put up? Activities to plan? And budgets to be concerned about?
I have never had a time when I didn't have to be concerned about the budget and I expect that's the case for most of you. Some years you may have more to spend and others much less. And this year seems to be one that folks are having to spend much less.
So, we will continue to look at ways to live and celebrate with less in a variety of areas from gifts, to meals, to decorations, to activities, etc. And you know, one thing that I have learned over my many decades is that it really doesn't matter how much money is spent. What matters more are meaningful experiences, activities with others, a love of life...making memories.
So buckle up, it's going to be a fast slide...have an amazing day...talk with you tomorrow.
