Believe it or not it's already 32 degrees this morning going to a high in the 40's!  It looks like it may rain all day Wednesday.  There are already places in the yard where you can see grass.  The rain should increase those places a lot.

So, this weekend I found that I did have a big problem with my slow-making journal.  The pages and envelopes were not big enough to handle fabric projects!  So, back to the drawing board on pages.  I will use the pages already made for this journal in another journal, but now I need to make pages a bit larger to hold larger envelopes.

How is your reading challenge going? I wonder if you have read any of the  five books folks thought were important to read.  There were different books in most lists but all contained these two:  '1984' & 'To Kill A Mockingbird'.  Two other books were included in most: 'The Great Gatsby' & 'Diary of A Young Girl'.  A lot of the lists also had 'Pride and Prejudice'.  I can say that I have read all of these but 'Pride and Prejudice'.

Have you read any of Robert Frost's poems?  The most famous is 'The Road Not Taken'.  Eons ago when I was in college the choir sang this poem.  I can even remember tune.  Another of Frost's poems that I love is 'Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening'.  They are both short and you can find them online...give them a read to see if you like them.

If your still looking for cosy mystery books to read I can suggest two more.  Agatha Christies' "Miss Marple Series' has 12 books and the first one is 'Murder at the Vicarage'.

I have always enjoyed the 'Mrs. Jeffries Series' by Emily Brightwell.  There are 41 books in this series and the first book is 'The Inspector and Mrs. Jeffries'.

Non-fiction book suggestions are a bit tricky to recommend because of the vast variety.  It depends on what you enjoy reading.  For instance, I like to read books by Stephen Hawking.  Or books about chaos theory, etc.

On the other hand, I also enjoy reading books like 'All Creatures Great and Small' by James Herriot.  Or even books by William Shatner like 'Boldly Go' and books by Neil deGrasse Tyson like 'Starry Messenger'!

Today being President's Day, maybe you would enjoy reading a book about one of our past presidents!  The trick is to find a book in a subject area that you are interested in.  And start with a smaller more general book on the topic.  Then, if it really interests you, find books that delve deeper into the subject.

We're a little over half-way through February...can you believe it?  Well, keep on reading and I hope that you will find, if you haven't already discovered, that reading is a great leisure activity.

Have an amazing day...

Talk with you tomorrow...
