No two ways about it...it was cold this weekend.  The temperature was -4 but it felt like -18!  Yes, there was also a lot of wind to go along with that below zero weather!

And we did get around one more inch of snow...on top of the unmelted snow from last weekend!

It was an interesting early morning drive to pick up the car in Poughkeepsie.  Quite frankly, it was the first time I drove on snow and ice but SnowWhite handled it well.  So the rest of the week, after today, the highs are in the mid 30's to 40!  Maybe the snow will begin melting.

Well, the Super Bowl Game was basically a defensive one but the Seahawks at the end really ran away with it.  I thought the coaching for the Patriots was off especially for a new quarterback with less than great protection.  BUT, the half time show was fantastic.  It was so completely different that there's no real comparison.  Bad Bunny was absolutely wonderful as were Lady Gaga and Rick Martin.  Glad I was able to see it!

So the challenge this month is to spend some time each day reading...you set the amount of time and what to read.  Suggestions are to read a bit of everything from fiction to non-fiction to poetry.

Have you read Maya Angelou's 'On The Pulse of The Morning' which she read at the Clinton Inauguration of 1993?  It's an interesting poem.

Are you a cozy mystery fan?  You may enjoy Helena Dixon's Miss Underhay Series.  The first book is called 'Murder at the Dolphin Hotel'.  Or my favorite, Laura Child's Tea Shop Mystery Series.  The first book is 'Death by Darjeeling'.  Or Janet Evanovich's Stephenie Plum Series.  The first book is 'One for the Money'.  There's lots to choose from...a whole library!  Enjoy some time reading.

Did you realize that Valentine's Day is this coming Saturday?  Need to send out any cards or gifts?  Now's the time to do it.  Later on this week I'll include some valentine type crafts to enjoy.

Stay safe...enjoy some you-time inside where it's warm during these cold days.

Talk with you tomorrow...
