Another warm day, not quite as hot as yesterday, but still in the high 70's.  It's bright and partly cloudy.  Rain is forecast later this morning...again!  Hopefully it will be nice enough to work on the hosta plants but the yard is still to spongy to work in.

Earth Day is next Wednesday, April 22nd. There are a lot of events around here planned for this weekend so I expect that there are many events planned where you are.  Most are outside with activities for all ages.  A great way to be out in nature and also learn about what each of us can do to help heal the earth.   Opportunities may also include community clean-up activities.

I know I was going to share my fabric creations today but I haven't been able to photograph them yet.  I have more pictures from the journal I shared pictures on yesterday's post.

Remember, this was the original 'slow making journal pages'.  Since they were too small, I have added two additional four page spreads to each of the original four page spread.  Here's the original page I was working with...

And here's the inside spread of one of the additional pages...

Here is one of the pages with a pocket...

And here's another page with a unique two pocket fold down...

The vegetable seeds are growing nicely.  I hope to transplant most of the rest of them into larger pots this weekend.  I hope they will continue to grow and strengthen through May so that I plant them outside the beginning of June.

By the way, I will be leaving early May for Park City and staying most of the month to see the graduation of my youngest grandchild from high school.  Remember the feeling of time flying by...I remember when she was a precocious little toddler!

How are you doing with this month's 'spend less' challenge?  I have had to spend a bit more than anticipated.  For instance, to take care of SnowWhite's rust problem, I need to purchase all the necessary supplies which amount to $100 so far.  Hopefully, those supplies will be enough.

And I needed more groceries than anticipated AND I have noticed that groceries have continued to increase.  And reading the economic forecasts, those prices will continue to rise throughout the year.  Added to that the lack of needed fertilizer for the current growing season will have an impact on next year's food prices.  Not a very positive outlook.

But, I have not spent anything on my creative ventures.  And all the books I am reading or listening to this month have come from either my personal library or the public library.  It's a win some, lose some situation.  Hopefully you are doing okay with the challenge.

That's it for now...

Talk with you on Monday...
