What a beautiful bright, sunny morning this has turned into.  It's only 36 right now but it is going to the low 50's today.  And no rain...only sunshine.  A great day to get out and work in the yard this afternoon!

What's the weather like where you live?  Is it spring?  Are the spring flowers beginning to take over your yard?  I hope so.

My favorite season is fall and my least favorite is summer.  I think spring beats winter by a hair because I do love winter, but there's something about spring, new life growing, getting the garden ready, hearing the birds as they return, seeing the colorful array of flowers that energizes me.

Fall and winter for me are times to harvest and gather in; whereas spring and summer, especially spring, are times to open up and stretch out.  Do you have a favorite season?  What makes it special for you?

A lot of times we drift from day to day, week to week, even season to season without really paying attention.  If you want that feeling of time slipping away to slow down, stop and 'smell the roses'...in other words, stop and appreciate each day, even each moment, as you live your life.

I finished another block, this time a regular nine patch, and I took the time to iron the four blocks I have done so far.  You can see that I did match points on the second tulip block and the first tulip block where I made a mistake in cutting it down to size doesn't look that bad...

The blocks still need to have a final cut so that the blocks are all the same size but these look really nice.  Ten more to go and then I need to get fourteen more blocks ready to hand sew!

So what craft or other leisure activity are you working on these day?  I hope you're still spending some time reading.  I'm working on the last book in the Mrs. Jeffries Series by Emily Brightwell.  There are actually 40 of them altogether.

I'm also savoring the lastest book in the Tea Shop Mysteries by Laura Child.  I love this series so much that when a new book comes out I get the electronic version right away but then I read it very slowly which is hard to do for me.  I'd love to read straight through but then I have to wait until a new one comes available so I try to take my time.

Working in the yard will be taking up most of my time today as will transplanting several seeds into larger pots.  So far all of them have germinated and are growing fast.

If you have time and the weather is nice, get out and enjoy nature...even the nature right around you.  There's nothing like a breath of fresh air!!!

Have a wonderful day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
