It's bright and sunny with crystal blue skies and 46 degrees.  It's only going to a high of 60 and rain is in the forecast.  At least the rain will hold off until this evening!

It's the first of May...May Day.  When I was in grade school in a small town in Minnesota, we would make small flower arrangements in paper cones and secretly hang them on friends and neighbors front doors.  I wonder if that was just a 'Minnesota' thing or if other folks enjoyed giving flowers on the first day of May?  My mother would help me make the cones and arrange the flowers and then we would walk  to the houses where we would quickly hang the flower presents on the front door and run away!

It's the first of May so there's a new word for the month...BLOOM. And a new monthly challenge.  This one hopefully will give you time to either meditate each day or sit quietly and just be.  Everyone of us needs time to refresh and replenish ourselves during the day and ten minutes seemed like a good compromise between too much and not enough.  But, if you find that you need more time, please take it.  On the other hand, don't shortchange yourself by only taking a minute or two...taking ten minutes really won't impact your schedule much but those ten minutes can really benefit you.

So today's to-do plans include purchasing items needed for the trip and fill up the gas tank in SnowWhite...I am definitely not looking forward to the second item!  When I travel out west and stop for the night, many times there aren't any restaurants nearby, so I always bring food with me.  Things like ramon noodles (There's alway a microwave,) or canned tuna meals, meat sticks, bagels, fruit, etc.  That way I will have something to eat.  I know they're not the healthiest but it's only once a year.

The other major thing I want to do is finish deciding what crafts to bring and for that I did purchase a couple containers.  I first saw these containers on a craft vlog.  I tried many places but finally found them on Amazon and they were only $9.  Here's what they look like...

The small containers are removable.  The top has a closure on each side and the middle half circles pop up for handles in needed.   You can bring small amounts of supplies using the containers and for bigger items you can take out some of the containers for room.

I also covered a box, about the same size as the containers, for bulkier items like glue, scissors, etc...

So, I won't be posting for most of next week while I am on the road unless I have time and internet access to post a picture or two, etc.  But I will be back the following week.

I hope all of you have a great weekend, a productive but enjoyable week next week and take time to 'smell the roses'...

Talk with you later...
