So Kenya got introduced to the rest of the cats yesterday. Bear ignored her and Tiger hissed as he walked away. Cookie Monster and Kenya are getting along well. However, in that relationship I think Kenya will be the 'alpha kitty'!
I worked on the deck yesterday and it looks a lot more inviting...
I have a lot of tomato plants in pots. Not sure how they will do but I decided to at least give them a chance.
When I finished with outside activities, I accomplished a few things in my studio. First of all, I purchased supposedly 'quilt weight' fabric squares that were anything but! I took out the fabric that would definitely not work in a quilt (but maybe in junk journals!!) and then sorted them into 16 packets of twelve squares each...
And I have begun sewing them together...
Once I have them all sewn into strips of twelve squares, I will cut a strip of a dark piece of fabric the same length to go inbetween the strips. Once the top is done I will make a quilt to donate.
I also put together a new simple weaving loom...
Weaving is one of the activities I am including in my summer camp experience.
Speaking of summer camp, I decided to find a weed yesterday for my nature activity only to find out that what I thought was a weed was really a tiny, self-seeding flower! Johnny Jump-Ups!
It looks like my computer is not clearing up on it's own so I think a new computer is in my future a lot sooner than originally thought! The external hard drive is expected tomorrow at which time I will copy everything. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. I keep thinking this computer is only a few years old but in reality, it's almost eight years!
Do you ever confuse time like that...thinking something is only a few years old when in reality it is a lot older? I'm surprised that it seems to happen more as I get older. Maybe that's a perspective of age.
I remember when I was young, a year, heck, a month seemed like a long time. And then when I was a young adult five years seems eternal. Now ten years seems to go by in a New York Minute!
Have an extraordinary day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
