Best Intentions

Well, you know how best intentions go....I planned on blogging every weeknight and sometimes on the weekend.   But then life interrupted and lots of things happened.   

First I volunteered (will I never learn?) to make hand puppets - lots of them - in three different sizes - and then I put together stuff to decorate them.   And if that wasn't enough, I volunteered to make a large bulletin board like my design wall.

And finally, a quick trip to NYC!   (These are a few of the pictures I snapped as we were running from one place to another.) 

Thus everything else went on the back burner for a few days. But as someone once told me...those interruptions are your life, so enjoy them.  And truth be told, I really do enjoy them!!!


The fall colors haven't arrived yet, so I decided to make my own pile of leaves in fabric.

This is the pile of scraps left after cutting out the leaves.   Don't worry, I am going to use them to make ATCs.

And this is the finished pile.   I put a bit of glue on the exposed leaf edges to keep them in place.   Next I plan on quilting with gold thread.   I'll take some pictures when I get it finished.
