Well, on Monday, I am getting back to exercising. I figured that writing about it will give me enough incentive to actually do it. I'll let you know on Monday how it goes.
We visit a lot of light houses - New England has tons of them - and at the last one, they had a large display of buoys. They are really colorful and I have been trying to figure out a way to use them in my fabric art. I was thinking of creating several of them out of fabric and scattering them on a background. I was also thinking about creating some out of clay or wood and adding them. Nothing has quite gelled in my mind, but I really like the idea.
Does this ever happen to you? You have a great idea, but you can't really come up with a way of implementing it?
These are two experiments in fabric raw edge work. Both of them now need to be quilted. For some reason I am really into using gold thread, so that is what I plan on using for both.
In this one I appliqued everything down using a sewing machine.
I really enjoy trying things that are way out of my comfort zone...sometimes they work out....sometimes they don't. In either case it is the experience gained that I cherish. How about you...do you try things outside of your comfort zone?
I found a picture of a different waterfall from NYC. (See September 2nd post for another picture.) It is really interesting when artists create maga-art like the waterfalls. The gates in Central Park were also awesome. When I find my pictures, I will post a couple of them. I often wonder how the artist's come up with the ideas?
Last of the season? I found this flower tucked into a deep hole in the bush. It was the only one left. I guess that fall really is on it's way...can't get here soon enough for me.
Have a great day. Thanks for visiting....
