Last week was one of those weeks where I really could not get anything done. No matter what I did, I could not get myself enthused about anything to really work on.
Have you ever had a day, week, month or even year like that? Of course, my situation is somewhat in limbo and I do know that that adds to the difficulty. But I just kind of stayed on the sidelines. I did a little drawing, a little work with fabric, read a bit, but did not feel like I accomplished anything.
I kept up with the regular household things like finances, cleaning, laundry, etc. But it was like I was operating on automatic....hope all the bills I paid went to the right folks!!!!!
This week is a bit better, but although I have gotten things done, I still feel kind of 'just there'. One of the things I finished was the challenge for my quilt group. The challenge was called 'Chaos' and I choose to do it all with unfinished edges. Everything was done but the final binding. I tried turning and stitching and that did not look right. Then I added some bias tape which I made to match, but that did not work either. I also did not like the straight edges, so I decided to finish the quilt the same way I made it - with unfinished edges. What I did was free cut the edge and then zigzag all around in the same gold thread that I used to quilt the piece. I think it turned out pretty well.
I took some pictures of the challenge piece, but just as I was starting to download the pictures unto my Mac, the camera battery went dead. Great timing! Kind of like my last couple of weeks.
At any rate, I will download them and publish them tomorrow together with pictures of the other project I finished this week.
Thanks for stopping by...see you tomorrow.
