Trying to Get Started...

Hey, my team won yesterday....go Vikings!  And there is another Bowl Game on tonight.   I don't know what I am going to do once all the football games are done.   Football withdrawal?

 PICTURE OF THE DAY:
My picture today is an especially heartwarming one for me.   We bought these two little characters the same day we bought our first Nativity Scene some 43 years ago.   I think we paid 19 cents for both.  Did I tell you we bought both these characters (and our first Nativity Scene) on Christmas Eve just as the store in downtown Mobile, Alabama was closing.   For many years we each wore one on our winter coats.   But then they got so fragile that we used  them as decorations somewhere either on the piano or our old pump organ.  They used to stand, but now they only sit and 'watch' during the holidays.

ANOTHER ITEM FOR THE TRAVEL CRAFT BOX:
I have been so inspired by many of the blogs that use felt in their creations that I decided to add a stack of felt to my travel craft box.   I didn't think I needed large amounts, so I settled on 4” by 6”.  I think I have 27 different colors.

ANOTHER INTERNET SITE FOR THE NEW YEAR:
For those of you who want to improve on your health this year, Body and Soul Magazine has the 'Whole Body Action Plan”.   In addition to the magazine, the Martha Stewart Television Show is featuring this program for the entire month of January.   What's really nice is that the whole program is on the internet and you can print out the different sections.   It may be just what you want to start your journey on a healthy lifestyle.

I decided to give it a try and right now I am having a hard time not venturing downstairs for a bottle of diet soda...something that I always have with me morning, noon and night.   On the plus side, I am rediscovering my love of herbal tea though.

AND CRAFTING...
I am really having a hard time getting going on crafting.   I am reading (and enjoying the pictures) of my craft books.   But put a blank piece of paper or fabric in front of me and I just stare.   I think I will try journalling...just writing and drawing to begin with.   Maybe that will get me back into the crafting mode.   Do any of you ever have problems like that?   If you have any suggestions, let me know.

Thanks for visiting....

Come back soon.
