Can You Spell...

SNOW?

I simply could not post another picture of snow again...but we have been getting it on a regular basis this month.   It is spring, isn't it?

Went to get my eyes checked with the rest of the family...a fun time was had by all!!!!   It took about five hours before I could see well.   Yes, they dilated my eyes.   On the whole, my eyes are in pretty good shape...a few floaters and the slight beginnings of a cataract.   But considering that I had a detached retina (a few years ago) and yet this was all there was, I'm happy.

Remember when I told you about creating journal pages by just coloring with crayons or colored pencils or markers and then copying them...well here are four more that I had fun creating.

I began thinking that these could be used for stationary, scrapbook pages, origami, wrapping presents, etc.   So, I am keeping a portfolio of the originals and just copying them when I want to use them.   This way I can adjust the copy (make it smaller or larger) and choose the weight of paper I need depending on what I am doing with the copy.  I bet you could have fun creating pictures like these and using them in a variety of ways.

Here are my two latest journal pages.   They have a bit more somber tone to them.   The first one is fabric on a background of black acrylic paint with streaks of white and beige.   I stamped the words 'Patching the Empty Holes with Scraps of Life' onto one inch square pieces of card stock and added them to the page.   I think this page is mostly done, at least for now.

My second page is just beginning.   I stamped the words 'Life's Journey Does Not Travel In A Straight Line' onto a beige and white acrylic background.   I have an idea of where to go with this page.   Stay tuned to see how it evolves...

One thing I have observed about myself is that I am getting more comfortable with creating journal pages...less rigid...more spontaneous...and I am having more fun.   I hope you are too.

Thanks for stopping by...see you tomorrow...
