INCHIE CHALLENGE 24 and SCENES FROM THE BAY

On the schedule today was a cruise on Casco Bay.   Perfect weather, perfect seas, just plain perfect.   The sail boats were out in droves...

The harbor was busy...

Here's another fort that once protected the harbor.   Did you know that in our nation's early history the harbor at Portland, Maine was the busiest because it was the closest to Europe?   Also, during WWII, this was where our nation serviced their military ships?

Can you find the indian face in this picture...Ram Island Ledge Lighthouse is in the background...

Here's today's challenge inchie..."Caged Birds"

I glued a purple designed paper to the base and used the copper adhesive tape to finish the edges.  The two birds were 3 dimensional stickers and the cage is wire which I formed into a cage and glued to the base.   I haven't worked with wire too much (as you can easily tell) but I did have fun making this inchie and I want to work more with wire.

Hope your weekend is going well.   After the cruise, we came home and barbequed.   Nothing fancy, but those burgers sure tasted good, especially with the potato salad and baked beans!

Thanks for taking time to check in today...
See you tomorrow...
