Guess What Greeted Me This Morning?
That's right...SNOW!!! And, no, it wasn't in the forecast I was following. I'm hoping that tomorrow is only going to be rain because I plan on driving to New York.
So, am I ready to go? Not quite. I did manage to finish making and wrapping all the presents for two of the families. I also managed to put a rolling cart, microwave and a couple boxes of dishes in the car (again for the two families).
And while I was out running errands, I found a Rite-Aid Pharmacy with flu shots available so I was able to get my flu shot.
House wise, I did straighten things up so I can begin right away when I get back. Not that many days left before I leave.
Oh, and here's one of the quilts I finished during last night's football game...
I am going to have to make one of these for myself. Just the right size to snuggle in and the fleece backing is really warm.
With the exception of loading the car up (when I get back) with more stuff for Goodwill - and yes, I do have several boxes ready to go - I will have finished this week's goals.
Tomorrow I will be on the road all day. I expect the normal six hours will turn into ten. And Thursday is Thanksgiving. Friday will be family day and Saturday I drive back. So I expect that this will be my last post this week.
I hope all of you have a great, warm, comfortable, enjoyable Thanksgiving Celebration whether you go all out with a big feast or keep it small and simple. And remember to take some quiet time to celebrate your life in all it's abundance. Be well. Be safe. Be loved.
Thanks for spending time here...
Your visits are cherished...
See you next week...
