Weaving and Post-it Notes...Not too Exciting!!!
Typical foliage around this area right now...palmetto plants. Today was very windy and the temperature was in the mid fifties. Crazy? Right? Mid 70's one day, mid forties a few days later. (That's the forecast for tomorrow.)
WEAVING:
I worked a lot more on the weaving. First I finished stringing it...
Then I began weaving with pieces of wood and scraps of yarn and lace and trim...
Because of the wind, I had to work inside. This will be a piece that I can hang outside to decorate the patio area once finished. Nothing fantastic, just a bit of decoration. The piece of wood just below the yellow lace is just an ordinary stick. But the piece between the green and rust colors has a lot of odd growth on it - very unique.
POST-IT NOTES:
I use steno pads a lot to take notes, make lists, etc. Problem for me is that I either forget about a note or wind up throwing it out when I take out a to do list. I've seen a lot of art studio photos in which the artist has used post-it notes. So, I thought I would try that solution. That way they will be visible until I have finished with them.
I don't have a free wall right now. I did think about using the refrigerator door, but the notes do not stick very well. So, I took a piece of cardboard, covered it with contact paper and am going to try that for a while...
The notes stick well and I have a place to put the board when not in use. I'll let you know how this system works out for me. It might be one you may want to try.
Thanks for stopping in this evening...
See you tomorrow...
