25 Days of Christmas Crafts - Day Five - Greeting Cards

Well, yes, it is football day (and my Vikings are winning right now) but I did promise twenty-five days of crafts.  Today's craft is another easy one, especially if you want to do it with children...greeting cards.

Supplies needed are:  Colored paper (construction, bond or card stock), scissors, glue (both stick and tacky), tape, glitter and other decorations like stamps, trim, etc.

Card stock is best to make the card itself but any type will do.
For this example, use a blue paper folded in half...

To make 'snow' use white paper folded in half and cut as shown.
One strip for the outside and one strip for the inside...

Use stick glue to adhere both strips, one outside and one inside...

Next make two snowman out of white paper, one large and one small.
Hint:  Fold paper in half to cut out or check out coloring book for idea...

Next, make the stencil for the 3D tree...

Fold the sides in as shown and then fold in half...

Glue or tape (On the folded strips) the tree to the inside of the card
so the fold of the tree is in line with the fold of the card...

Cut out the decorations for each snowman...

Using the stick glue add the large snowman on the front of the card
and add hat, scarf, etc...

Using the stick glue add the small snowman inside the card
adding hat, scarf, etc.  Also cut and add a white area to write greetings on...

For the rest of the decorations, you can add glitter by using the tacky glue.  And you can decorate the 'tree' with small pieces of colored paper circles, decorative stickers and other trim.  The only limit is your imagination!

Enjoy...
Talk with you tomorrow....
