Well, I had to use some hot water to melt the 'ice rink' on my patio yesterday...the ice was too thick to melt in the afternoon. There's a little bit of ice left but should be gone by the time I run out and pick up a few things. The temperature right now is 50 degrees! And the next two days it will probably be in the 60's. This is early February, right?
So how are you doing with your gratitude journal? I hope you are still writing down 15 items, albeit in very abbreviated forms. By the end of the week, check and see if you can list gratitudes without writing them down regularly. If you forget, try writing the list for another week. And then try it without writing it down. When you get to the point of always remembering your list of gratitudes, then just keep on 'counting your blessings' without writing them.
I promised you a picture of my beads. Here it is...
These beads are hanging in a place where I see them often during the day...and every time I see them, I think of something that I am grateful for. Remember Pavlov's dog's conditioning experiment? Well, that's kind of what this is like...see these beads and think gratitude!
String together some beads, add a tassel at the bottom and a loop at the top. Remember that your string of beads represents gratitude. Hang it where you see it often and think gratitude when ever you see it. The list of things you are grateful for will come almost automatically.
Talk with you tomorrow...
