March 2: Creativity

It's sunny out and relatively warm...mid to high 40's.  The rain didn't come until evening yesterday so not as much snow is gone as I thought.  The ice is gone for the most part.  I will be venturing out to pick up a few things at the grocery store.

I watched the president's speech last night.  It was nice to see the entire house rise and clap so many times.  Reporters remarked that having both Democrats and Republicans give ovations together has not been the norm for several years.

Creativity.  Most folks only associate it with art and crafts but it is a whole life experience.  Let's face it, life is not always easy and folks have to find a way to cope with all the varied situations that arise.  That coping mechanism is your creativity at work.  It can be thinking outside the box.  It can be addressing issues however is best for you or you and your family.   It can be understanding that you need a change.  Or, it can be realizing that the change may need to be in your attitude.

However you think about creativity...just remember that it's at your beck and call especially when you need it most.

Today's craft activity is really simple.  I choose it because of finding out about the Kindness Rocks Project.  Kindness what you may ask...google it...it really is a thing.  Folks, including children, paint rocks and with words of kindness, compassion, inspiration, etc. and place them where others may find them.

All you need are some rocks or shells, acrylic paint, brushes, markers and acrylic sealer.  First clean and dry the rocks/shells and paint them completely with acrylic paint any color you want and let dry...

Then have fun painting or using permanent markers to write something and decorate the rocks/shells. Finish with a sealer of some type.  I used Diamond Glaze, but any sealer will do...

Now, you can either keep them for yourself or place them somewhere where others may find them.  Check out the video at the Kindness Rocks Project.

Talk with you tomorrow...
