A beautiful day...and it looks like the entire week is going to be the same. I can definitely get used to this type of weather.
Did anyone see the Kentucky Derby? If not, google the race and watch the come from behind horse win in a race that was very fast. Smile - that's what you will do when you see it.
Today we are going to begin making our journal adventure by making a pocket first. This pocket will then be added to the journal.
First of all, gather your supplies...
Things like paper, washi tape, stamps, stickers, magazine pictures, lace, yarn, etc, etc, etc....whatever you find.I begin with a card that is 3 by 5 out of cardstock if possible. If not find a piece of lightweight cardboard and glue a plain white or other color on the back. For the front find a decorative piece...
And glue it to the decorative paper with the plain paper on the back. I use stick glue...
Next find some paper for the pockets. I used two plus the cover paper for the third pocket...
Fold the top pocket to the back first, then the middle pocket and finally the third pocket...
I used double sided tape on the back, in the same order. Attach the top pocket first, the middle pocket second and the bottom pocket last. You can also use glue (tacky)...stick glue may not hold.
Once the pockets are attached, it time to decorate...
I used lace on the bottom pocket, a gold adhesive backed tape on the middle pocket and a transparent washi tape on the top pocket. Decorate it anyway you want.
Finally, I added some more decoration on the bottom pocket...
Again, this is just to give you and idea as to how to make pockets. By the way, there are many other ways to make them. Use the items you have to decorate and have fun 'cut & paste'.
Tomorrow, we will make the tags for the pockets...two for the bottom and middle and one for the top.
Talk with you tomorrow...
