May 11: A Little of This, A Little of That along with a Dash of Crafting

Another beautiful day.  It would be nice to spend it outside but unfortunately I am still packing.  Although, I have really gotten a lot of my studio packed.  The wire shelving is down and one of the large shelves is down.  I think I have about 85% of the studio packed.  I took down all the wall hangings and it really looks empty.

Yesterday I showed you how to make a pocket (to include in the journal).  Today, we will look at the tags that go into the pockets.  I put two smaller ones in the bottom pocket, two medium in the middle pocket and one large one in the top pocket.

I used card stock to make the tags, in this case yellow.  Leave the back free for folks to write on but decorate the front.

So the medium tags are 2 1/2 by 1 3/4 inch.  I covered them...

And then I used my corner punch to round the corners...

Next I decorated them with odds and ends and punched a hole in the top...

Finally, I added decorative yarn...

It really is just a matter of having fun adding things to the tags.  Here are the two smaller ones (2 by 1 1/2 inches) and the large one (2 1/2 by 4 inches)...

And here they are all together...

And here they are in the pocket...

You can decorate your tags however you want just make sure to enjoy yourself.

When I was packing things up in my studio, I came across a box with all my previous junk journals.  Wow!  Even I was surprised at how many I had.  And I remember how much fun I had making them.

Tomorrow, the cover...

Talk with you tomorrow...
