Yesterday's plans included planting the cucumbers, squash and marigolds. And distribute the vermiculite to the containers and mix the soil making it ready for plants.
Well, the coconut core in two of the containers had still not completely disintegrated...the core needs to be in direct contact with rain and these portions were buried under the soil. But, I did get the planting done...
I have room for a couple more plants in this bed. Today I am going to pick up the rest of the plants (for the containers).
The other major thing that happens today is that the dumpster will be delivered. We will be able to get rid of all the stuff sitting behind Duchess as well as everything in Duchess! I was hoping that this would happen before I leave because I want to get into Duchess to clean her and see if there is are issues.
Remember the 100 Day Project during which I want to focus on collage. Well, I have finished two sample projects but now I want to focus on a big collage project in a similar technique that Sue Carlson uses. In preparation for that I have been ironing fabric unto sheets of Steam A Seam 2 Lite. Check these out...
I have seven sheets filled with eight sheets to go...in several other color waves. I was lucky in that my tiny iron survived the fire so I can use that to add tiny pieces of fabric. Once I finish the 'Happy Villages' project, I plan on beginning this larger collage.
Rain is forecast for the entire weekend again. Hopefully it will be with intermittent showers so we can fill the dumpster and I can finish planting the containers!
So do you have plans for the weekend? Anything fun? A lot of folks use the weekend to catch up with household chores...I hope, if you do that, you will remember that finding time for yourself is just as important as household chores...and no one ever said that they wished they had cleaned more during their lifetime. If anything, they probably wished that they spent less time cleaning and more time just being...
Take care and enjoy life...
Talk with you on Monday...
