It's a bit later this morning but it's already 70 degrees going to the high 70's.  And dare I say it...more rain.  Actually more rain for the next four days...right through the weekend!

Today I want to plant the cucumbers and squash along with the marigolds in the back garden.  These are small plants and I am a bit worried that they may prove to tempting to the wildlife around the yard.  So, I made small boxes out of larger boxes to place around each plant for a week or so...

Nothing special...I just cut four inch strips and use packing tape to make into a box.

Yesterday I finished that top of the current 'Happy Villages' project...

Mountains!  I have also placed the base of the houses on the project.  It doesn't look like much right now but wait until I add roofs, windows, doors and accent pieces.  It will be bright and beautiful...

The vermiculite did arrive yesterday so I will be able to add that to the containers, mix everything together and then cover with some landscape fabric to eliminate weeds.  It will be ready to finish planting the remaining vegetables.

Tomorrow, the dumpster will be delivered so we can throw away all the stuff that is not in shape to keep...and that includes a lot of stuff in Duchess (my trailer).  Going to be a busy weekend!
