It was a busy weekend. The highlight was a chance to spend time with family including great in-laws. Although I really don't see why we can't include in-laws as family. I certainly do.
The dumpster did arrive on Friday and by Friday evening we had all the 'stuff' in the yard packed into the dumpster as well as a lot of large 'stuff' from Duchess. We worked again in Duchess for a few hours on Sunday. It's getting better.
I also managed to plant all the vegetable starter plants on Sunday. The only things left are beans, carrots and radishes which are being sprouted as I write. I do need to water plants today.
The other thing I finished laying out was the current 'Happy Villages' project...
Next, I need to sandwich the project...backing, batting, 'Happy Villages' top and tulle...and free motion the entire piece. Not sure what I will use. I have had so many problems with metallic thread which is what I want to use that I am not sure I will even try it. Well, that's a later decision.
Today I would like to finish putting up the fence and planting the flowers on the last remaining bed that the previous owner creating. It is a large circular bed, outlined with small rocks, and planted with plants I am not familiar with. I decided to plant marigolds around the edge, and add some decorative fencing (which I recently acquired). Other than some strategic weeding and replacement of solar lights, I think I am done with the yard.
Then it will only be to work on Duchess and make sure that everything that needs to be discarded winds up in the dumpster before the end of the ten days we rented it for.
And finally, I need to think about what I want to take on my vacation which starts in less than two weeks! Busy couple of weeks ahead...
Summer is around the corner...it will be June before you know it...have you decided on your vacation or stacation plans? No better time like the present to at least think about it...
Have an amazing day...
Talk with you tomorrow...
