More From Deadwood

Another late day sorting!!!   Two days to go.   I think we may actually finish the three places I wanted to get done.   So far two truckloads to Goodwill and a third tomorrow, three truckloads to garbage and three to cardboard/paper recycle!!!   Like I said, mom never threw anything out.

I did find some treasures...school resources and newspapers from 1925-1934.   Mom was a teacher in a one room school house and she did keep some of her school resources and teacher magazines!   Can't wait to go through them.

I also found a newspaper series from the Minneapolis Tribune (including pictures) on the First World War.   The newspapers were dated around 1933.   I know a lot more about WWII than WWI so this series should be enlightening.

Well, here are some more pictures from the town of Deadwood.   Some of the buildings were really historic.  This is the old train station which is now the information and welcome center.

The famous Iron Horse Inn...

I love the turret on this hotel...

Looking through town from the Franklin Hotel (by the way, there are lots of casinos)...

I think all the towns out west have a statue of a cowboy on a bucking bronco...

Thanks for taking time to visit...

Enjoy your evening...
